Habitat’s National Women Build Week invites women to help make a difference and devote at least one day to help build decent and affordable housing in their local communities. In Lufkin, volunteers will work during National Women Build Week to do as much construction as possible for a family in need. Volunteers will work on building a safe and affordable home for a single mother and her children who are seeking to build a better life for themselves through obtaining safe, decent, and affordable housing. Tasks that volunteers may complete on the Women Build Day include sheetrock, painting, landscaping, and a variety of other activities. Whatever activities volunteers may be participating in, they can be confident in the fact that their labor will be helping a family in need.
