The new Department of Labor's new overtime rule: How will it impact your business?

Join the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce for an informative session about the changes business owners and managers need to know concerning the Department of Labor's new overtime rule for salaried employees. Guest speaker Scott Skelton with Skelton Slusher Barnhill Watkins and Wells PLLC will discuss how this change will effect your business. 

The new overtime rule goes in to effect on December 1, 2016 and states:

• Raise salaries to the new overtime threshold of $913 a week ($47,476 a year) from $455 a week ($23,660 a year)-- this raises their salary above the amount at white most white collar salaried workers are eligible to receive overtime.   

Find out your options and how to comply with the new ruling. The final rule does not make any changes to the duties test for executive, administrative and professional employees.
