POSITION:  Full-Time Coordinator, Angelina College Polk County Center – Livingston

EMPLOYMENT DATE:  Until Filled

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
At least one year of experience in an administrative/managerial position required.
Demonstrated success in organizational and administrative skills required.
Demonstrated skills in working with a diverse population in a private, public, nonprofit, and/or educational setting required.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Customer service oriented.
Some experience in working with community groups preferred.
Experience working in a community college setting preferred.
Ability to problem solve with technology, scheduling, and customer service needs preferred.
Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
Understand how to work successfully as a team within all levels of the organization and know how to contribute to the mission of the college.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position will report to the Senior Director of Distance Education for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

Serve as a contact person between the Center and the college administration.
Assist college staff in canvassing students to determine credit and non-credit courses to be scheduled for the center.
Engage in appropriate continuous improvement processes
Support activities with the appropriate college administrators to implement the mission of the college in the Polk County, Texas area.
Coordinate the delivery of appropriate student services.
Serve the institution through participation on Committees; and
Must perform other duties and responsibilities required of a full-time employee as outlined in the Angelina College Policies and Procedures Manual.

CONTRACT & SALARY:

Annual salary of $30,000 – $33,300 in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for successful candidate.
