Job Description
Position Summary:  The Event and Engagement Coordinator is charged with implementing, directing, and conducting programs, events, and activities to increase and sustain the Chamber's membership, coordinating services and retention efforts of the Chamber, seeing that appropriate records are maintained regarding membership histories, rosters and related data and assist in the accomplishing of monetary goals and objectives as set by the President.  The Incumbent will work closely with the Director of Membership on various projects and coordinate events including Ribbon Cuttings, Diplomats, Business After Fives, Power Networking Breakfast, Annual Golf Tournament and Annual Banquet. 
This is a professional, salaried position that does not provide overtime pay requirements.  It requires self-supervision, policy implementation leadership and work beyond the context of an eight-hour day without additional compensation.
Bachelor’s degree, preferred, preferably in related field
Proficient knowledge of computer systems, specifically in MS Office products and websites.
Sales experience preferred
Outstanding time management skills
Excellent public speaking, research and writing skills
Experience with volunteer coordination and committees
Knowledge of Angelina County's business, government, geographic area, and media environment is preferred.
Must be able to work in harmony with all Chamber staff personnel
Salary: $32,500 annually
