Rusty Axe Brewing Company will host its 3rd annual Blues & Brews Festival Saturday at Cotton Square Park in downtown Lufkin, celebrating craft beer, blues music and community spirit.
The event, which coincides with Rusty Axe Brewing’s 3rd anniversary, will kick off at 3 p.m., with live music starting at 4 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and pop-up canopies as seating will not be provided.
This year’s festival lineup of blues talent includes Bad Boy Leroy from East Texas and The Melon Jelly Band from Beaumont. Both featured bands have their music available on all streaming sites for you to check out.
Guests will have access to two outdoor bars featuring a variety of Rusty Axe Brewing’s signature craft beers as well as several wines.
This year’s festival will offer a scaled-down schedule from past years, focusing on quality over quantity.
Rusty Axe Brewing Company's kitchen will be in full swing for take-out food as well as dine-in. Local food truck Bayou Boilers will be offering crawfish and shrimp with all the sides.
The Downtown Scoop will be open, so all can enjoy a refreshing ice cream treat, and other vendors include Lily & Max Pet Treats, offering doggie cookies, and Stories Cigar Lounge, selling special hand-rolled cigars.
Family-friendly activities such as cornhole and giant Jenga will also be available, as well as waiter Olympics and other fun activities during intermission between bands.
Cover charge for the festival is $5 if one intends to partake in the festival offerings. Drink tickets can be purchased at the entry tent upon arrival.
