The Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas invites the community to the 4th Annual Passion for Purple Luncheon on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin.
This year, we are honored to welcome Melissa Dohme-Hill as our keynote speaker. A survivor of domestic violence and nationally recognized advocate, Melissa shares a powerful message of resilience, healing, and hope. After surviving a near-fatal domestic violence attack, she dedicated her life to advocating for survivors and inspiring others through her story.
Passion for Purple brings our community together to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault while supporting the life-saving work of the Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas. Proceeds help provide survivors with access to a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, personal, legal and medical advocacy, outreach services, prevention education, and more.
Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we stand with survivors, raise awareness, and help create safer futures for adults and children across East Texas.
