Adopt-a-Family for Christmas

This holiday season, the Family Crisis Center of East Texas is working to ensure that children and families rebuilding their lives after domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking can experience the joy of the holidays. 

Through the Adopt-a-Family for Christmas program, you can help make the season brighter for a local family receiving services from the agency!

Here’s how to participate:

Sign up to adopt a family. Email Mallory Harris at mharris@fccet.com or call (936) 639-1681 to get started.
Receive a family’s wish list. Families of all sizes are available for adoption! Once matched, you’ll receive a wish list and instructions for gift delivery.

Shop with care. Please purchase two requested wish-list items, plus one shirt, one pair of pants, and a pair of shoes for each family member.

Drop off your gifts! Please deliver unwrapped gifts by Thursday, December 10, to the Family Crisis Center’s Administrative Office. Please include wrapping supplies so parents can share in the joy of wrapping gifts and creating special holiday moments with their children.

Outside of Lufkin? Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at the Nacogdoches, San Augustine or Crockett outreach office too, just call ahead to ensure staff are in office at your drop-off time!

By participating, you’re doing more than providing gifts. You’re helping families feel supported, reminding children that they haven’t been forgotten, and bringing a little extra peace and joy to those navigating difficult circumstances.
