Community Birth Preparation Class

Join us for a community-centered Birth Preparation Class designed to equip and support you as you approach one of life’s most transformative experiences. Offered at an extremely low cost, this class is intended to make high-quality birth education accessible to everyone in our community.

You’ll hear from a team of local experts who are passionate about helping you feel confident, informed, and empowered:

Dr. Jami Cooper, PT, DPT of Aspire Physical Therapy and Wellness will guide you through practical, body-based strategies for labor, including optimal positions to help move baby through the pelvis, effective pushing techniques and positions, and how to perform perineal massage to help reduce the risk of tearing.

Shannon Morgan, Doula, CBE of Tiny Feet Doula Services will walk you through what to expect in a hospital birth setting, important conversations to have with your provider, and how to prepare for a birth experience that aligns with your preferences. She’ll also explain how doula support can make a meaningful difference during labor and in the immediate postpartum period.

Brittany Ford, RN, IBCLC of Milk & Honey Lactation Services will cover essential breastfeeding preparation, including prenatal colostrum expression, choosing pumps, pacifiers, and bottles, and how to navigate common breastfeeding and pumping concerns in the early postpartum days.

Whether this is your first baby or you’re looking for a refresher, this class will leave you feeling more prepared, supported, and confident heading into birth and beyond.
