NOW THROUGH MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30!
Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas is hosting a food drive throughout November to help meet the needs of survivors and their children residing in the agency?s emergency shelter. The holiday season can bring increased demand for shelter and support services as survivors seek safety and leave abusive situations, creating a greater need for essential supplies, including food. The safehouse provides three meals a day, along with snacks, to approximately 35 adults and children, and community donations help ensure these families have access to nourishing meals during a difficult time in their lives.
The agency's greatest need right now is for unexpired, nonperishable canned and boxed food items, including:
Cake mix
Icing for cookies and cake
Diced tomatoes
Assorted pastas
Sugar (white and brown)
Cornbread
Coffee
Coffee creamer
Cereal

Tuna fish
Crackers
Ramen soups
Chef Boyardee
Ranch mix packets
Chili (Wolf or Hormel Brand)
Green beans
Dish soap
Peanut Butter
Canned Beans
Kool Aid

These items can be dropped off at any Family Crisis Center Outreach Office between 8am & 5pm, Monday - Friday. Be sure to call ahead for San Augustine, Crockett, and Nacogdoches offices to ensure staff are present.
