The four-session series dives into how carbohydrates work in the body, incorporating them into a simple meal plan, why all carbohydrates are not created equally, and finding the right amount for you. The Healthy Carbohydrates series is not specifically for people trying to manage diabetes, although it would be useful to anyone interested in learning about the relationship between carbohydrates and health. The lively and informative sessions will be delivered in a casual social atmosphere. Each session will include recipe demos and tastings, goal setting, and practical tips. Participants will receive useful resources and kitchen items. Those that attend all four sessions will be entered in a drawing to win an air fryer! Have you ever asked: “How can one distinguish between “good” and “bad” carbs? (Is there even such a thing?)” “Is a low-carb or keto diet right for me?” “How much carbs (and protein/fat) do I need?” Get answers to all these questions and more at the Healthy Carbohydrates series. All sessions will be led by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist that welcomes any nutrition-related questions.
