Hospice in the Pines is seeking an innovative leader to expand their organization with a new appointed Financial Officer position. This expansive role will cover the entire business operation for the purpose of building success metrics for the premier service lines of this 40 year company. This pivotal position requires a forward-thinking professional with a deep understanding of financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting standards.
Hospice in the Pines desires an experienced candidate who will provide strategic financial leadership to ensure hospice operates sustainably, delivering high-quality regulatory stewardship.
Role Educational Requirements:
Required bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, Business Management or related field; with at least five (5) years of on-the-job experience.
Preferred Master's degree in Business Administration/Management with (2) years of financial management experience but not required.
Duties:
- Oversee budgeting and various analysis for each service line.
- Manage and report monthly financial statements, revenue diversification in grants and donations.
- Ensure strong internal and external controls for audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee procurement of supplies, vendor management and contract compliance.
- Assess capital needs while working alongside the CEO and Administrative leadership to prepare accounting reports to the governance.
- Evaluate financial concepts such as cost accounting, internal audits, and general ledger reconciliation to identify potential risks or discrepancies.
- Oversee fraud prevention and detection measure within due diligence processes to safeguard organizational assets.
- Develop detailed reports summarizing findings, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommendations for CEO and Administrations.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in accounting or finance specializing in financial due diligence or auditing.
- Proven track record managing complex financial analysis projects.
- Deep understanding of Hospice Healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, hospice billing and compliance.
$50,000-$65,000
