QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required:
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited institution; equivalent experience in place of education may be considered.
  • Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations.
  • Computer Skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel) and web browsers.
  • Language Skills, including excellent English language skills and interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
 
Preferred:
  • Experience:
  • Creating and utilizing marketing strategies.
  • Managing professional social media account(s).
  • Working in higher education.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Manager of Enrollment for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Foster an environment that is student-focused and committed to excellence.
  • Assist students with admissions, academic advising, assessment, enrollment, and financial aid services.
  • Work successfully as a team with all levels of the organization.
  • Counsel and advise prospective students, families, and the general public as it relates to college policies and procedures, the admissions process, general admissions information, pre-college planning, and career opportunities.
  • Attend college and career fairs throughout the college services area and surrounding school districts.
  • Conduct high school recruitment visits and participate in community engagement activities, promoting Angelina College to traditional and nontraditional student audiences
  • Communicate with high school and community college counselors and students within the assigned region.
  • Assist with the implementation of recruitment efforts to target social media channels and monitor the social media landscape to recommend emerging trends, tools, or programs.
  • Schedule and guide personal tours. Manage the tour database and follow-up communication.
  • Maintain all relevant record-keeping and tracking.
  • Responsible for various administrative functions.
  • Successfully manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload while paying attention to detail.
  • Stay current with evolving knowledge and technology; occasional study, training, and travel may be necessary.
 
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$15.00 per hour in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
