The Non-RN Supervisor's main function serves to conduct initial visits in the client’s homes to explain services, assess the client's home environment and support system, and complete admission documentation; to conduct supervisory visits at intervals determined appropriate for each client; and to hire and orientate personal care attendants.

ESSENTIAL TASKS INCLUDE:

  • Assists in locating providers for clients within a timely manner, according to state regulations, for beginning coverage for a new client or replacement of a provider for an existing client.
  • Able to drive up to 300 miles daily.
  • Makes an assessment of the client’s home environment, personality, preferences, etc. to aid in provider placement.
  • Hires providers for all PAS clients
  • Completes E-Hires, software training and final hire paperwork
  • Orientates/trains providers for all PAS clients
  • Conducts Supervisory visits in the client’s home.
  • Reports changes in client’s status or needs to Supervisor/Caseworker. Requests additional or diminishing services as determined by the client’s needs.
  • Follows agency policy and procedures, State Regulations, Federal and local laws and contract rules and procedures.
  • Participates in professional meetings when directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Dependable transportation, cell phone, pen.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have completed at least two years of full-time study at an accredited college or university. An individual with a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) or you may substitute one year of full-time employment in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare facility, agency, or community-based agency for each required year of college.
  • Be trained by the Primary Home Care Supervisors in order to be able to take care of all necessary paperwork and maintenance concerning the providers for the Primary Home Care clients.
  • Must be able to work without constant direction or supervision. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or a work-authorized individual.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to sit for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Able to work in various environments.
  • Has excellent guest relations skills.
  • Able to speak and comprehend English.
  • Able to listen and follow directions.
  • Can handle emergency situations well.
  • Able to take notes 5 – 6 hours per day.
  • Able to stoop and bend for 1 –2 hours
  • Able to operate an automobile and drive up to 300 miles per day.
  • Has good time-management skills.
  • Follows Universal Precautions.
  • Able to work in a stressful environment.
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Able to handle written/verbal communication in English effectively.
  • Is able to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
  • Able to read, comprehend and comply with instructions from company manuals.
  • Able to comply with agency and CDC infection control protocols.
