Physical Therapy Asistant

Job Summary: Provides coordinated Physical Therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. Participates in the coordination of care.

Job Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapist with an associate level degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.

Licensure: Active, State license as a physical therapist assistant, or a multi-state licenses issued by Physical The Licensure Compact (PTLC)member stare. or is licensure do not apply, meets one of the requirements listed in 42 CFR 484.115(i)

Experience: One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant, preferred

Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the therapy practice Ace and other regulatory agencies. Good interpersonal skills. Proof of current CPR certification.

Environmental and Working conditions: Works in a healthcare facility or patient homes in various conditions; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases; ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather

Physical and Mental Effort: Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to meet patient and family individualized psychosocial need. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
