About Us
We are Texas Forest Country Living. We write some things and share some things, but our heart is simple: love our neighbors well, and make sure their stories are heard. TFCL is a mostly digital magazine featuring the life, culture, and community of the Texas Forest Country region. This is a unique place to live/do life – we've got miles of breathtaking forests and winding rivers, but our feet are somehow equally at home on red dirt roads and in shiny ballrooms, and we know we’re not alone in that! Community is what makes our Texas Forest Country region so special, and it's why we exist. We hope that these stories, articles, and events reflect the joy of living here, and more importantly, remind us that we all have a common bond: we live in the best little corner of Texas.
We focus on the life, culture, and stories of the 12 counties in the Texas Forest Country region: Angelina, Houston, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity, and Tyler counties.
