About Us
In 1982, Dr. Bachireddy co-founded The Heart Institute of East Texas with Dr. J.S. Chandra. Since its beginning, The Heart Institute has been instrumental in bringing state-of-the-art heart care to Deep East Texas. When The Heart Institute of East Texas opened, nearly 100 percent of patients with heart disease went to Houston for care. Since that time, he and his group have expanded the heart care program for East Texas, allowing patients to receive care where they live.
In 2001, The Heart Institute of East Texas opened their new building at 310 Gaslight Blvd. In 2013, The Heart Institute formed an affiliation with CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial - Lufkin giving patients access to a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab and the only ACCPVR accredited Cardiac Rehab program between Houston and Tyler. Under our medical directorship and management, patients are able to see their cardiologists and have access to cardiac stress testing, echocardiography, vascular sonography, labs, x-ray imaging, Cath Lab procedures, Cardiac Rehab, Heart Failure Clinic, and Rhythm Clinic all under the same roof. Our location at 209 Gaslight Blvd also houses our Vein and Leg Pain Center. In addition to our Lufkin Offices, we also maintain offices in Livingston, Jasper, Center, San Augustine, Hemphill, Crockett, Woodville and Nacogdoches.
