QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a public service position.
  • Computer skills necessary, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel) and web browsers. 
 
Preferred:
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of two years of experience serving in a clerical position in a multi-tasking education or public service setting.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive to create, share, and manage work.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs (Dean of Science & Mathematics) for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Provide administrative support services for School faculty and Dean;
  • Provide administrative support services for the department of eLearning;
  • Coordinate, record, and transcribe minutes from School meetings;
  • Coordinate and enter class schedule and other pertinent data into the College’s institutional computer software system;
  • Ensure all faculty have copies of required textbooks, lab manuals, and other instructional materials;
  • Maintain faculty schedule of classes and office hours;
  • Schedule rooms to meet School and institutional needs;
  • Monitor and record School expenditures, verify receipt of purchased goods and services, and process invoices;
  • Prepare and collate bid lists for classroom/lab supplies and coordinate quote solicitations from vendors;
  • Meet class if instructor is absent or late as needed to take roll and give instructions;
  • Coordinate work orders between School faculty/staff and the Maintenance Department;
  • Have a customer-friendly attitude with the public, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students;
  • Maintain a professional appearance; and
  • Be punctual and dependable.
 
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$13.00 per hour in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
