The main function of the Provider Placement Coordinator is to receive incoming phone calls, locate new providers, set up orientations with providers and supervisors and perform other light office duties to facilitate the smooth operation of business so that corporate goals and objectives can be reached.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for answering phones, forwarding calls and taking messages.
  • Locate/screen potential providers.
  • Call/document Reference checks, NAR checks, EMR checks.
  • Perform Criminal History Background Checks.
  • Schedule/Coordinate hiring and orientating in the field with providers, clients and supervisors.
  • Update tracking systems for keeping up with clients needing providers and communicating with PAS coordinators to avoid missed visits and service breaks.
  • Responsible for assisting applicants with the hire packet in the office setting.
  • Responsible for taking on call when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School Graduate or equivalency, or previous experience with general office duties or business related courses.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to multi-task and carry out varied job duties with little supervision.
  • Must be extremely well organized.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate and able to type 40 wpm.
  • Able to operate multi-line telephone system.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
  • Able to report to work on time.
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Able to sit for 6 – 8 hours per day.
  • Able to stoop and bend for 1 – 2 hours per day.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to drive 25 – 50 miles per day.
  • Able to comply with departmental policies and procedures.

MINIMUM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
Computer, telephone, fax machine, copier and pen.
