Position Summary
The Legal Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to our legal team. The goal is to enhance office efficiency and ensure high-quality service to our clients by managing schedules, preparing documents, and maintaining a highly organized filing system.
Key Responsibilities

Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence, including memos, pleadings, and basic contracts.

Calendar Management: Schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings; maintain the firm’s master calendar to ensure no deadlines are missed.

Court Filing: Coordinate the timely filing of documents with state and federal courts (including e-filing).

Client Intake: Handle incoming calls and emails, perform initial screenings, and gather necessary information for new cases.

File Organization: Manage and update physical and electronic case files

Administrative Support: Coordinate travel arrangements, process mail, and assist with monthly billing and time entry.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or legal environment preferred.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and court staff.

Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal practice management software.

Detail Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and a "eagle eye" for typos or formatting errors.
